SHARED IDENTITY
In each town, a legacy beats that is renewed day after day. Centuries-old churches, monuments, and artisan traditions keep alive the essence of a land that never ceases to surprise you.
So, when you walk through a medieval arch, listen to the echo of a Baroque bell tower, or taste a red wine from the Bullas Designation of Origin, you connect with centuries of history that continue to be written with you as the protagonist.
WHAT TO DO IN THE TIERRAS DE LA VERA CRUZ
Immerse yourself in unique festivities, enjoy wine and food routes, and participate in cultural, sports, and leisure activities that mark the daily pulse of these lands.
Welcome to Bullas, where wine and culture have their own history
In our centuries-old wineries, we bring to life the highest-rated wines in the Region of Murcia. A municipality that blends winemaking tradition, mining heritage, and unspoiled nature.
If you’re looking for authenticity, Bullas has a lot to tell you.
Visit Calasparra and discover Spain’s most highly-valued rice
Calasparra holds a unique treasure: the only rice with a Protected Designation of Origin in Spain. The fields irrigated by the Segura River and the Sanctuary of the Virgen de la Esperanza make our corner of northwest Murcia a destination for culture, gastronomy, and spirituality.
Visiting Calasparra means understanding where the best of Mediterranean cuisine comes from.
Caravaca de la Cruz, a land of faith and heritage
Caravaca de la Cruz is one of the five Holy Cities in the world and a Permanent Holy City. The Vera Cruz, a relic of universal value, attracts pilgrims and travelers from every corner of the globe. The historic center, the Moors and Christians festivals, and the impressive castle make Caravaca a destination of pilgrimage, history, and emotion.
Experience Cehegín and its historical heritage
Cehegín boasts one of the best-preserved historic centers in the Region of Murcia. Our cobbled streets and the remains of the Roman city of Begastri tell centuries of history with a discreet elegance.
A beloved municipality, with a character of its own and a heritage richness that deserves far more recognition than it receives.
Moratalla, nature and history in the Region of Murcia
Moratalla welcomes you from the heights of its medieval castle. The mountains, the Segura and Alhárabe rivers, and rock art declared a World Heritage site are waiting for you to discover everything Moratalla has to offer.
Moratalla has more layers than you can imagine, and every visit reveals a new one.
Mula: History, culture, and the most famous drums
Mula wakes up in February with one of Spain’s most impressive sound spectacles: the Holy Week Drumming, declared a Festival of International Tourist Interest.
But Mula is also about the Moorish castle, rock art, and Roman baths.
Mula is our territory with many hidden gems that every visitor ends up discovering.
ROUTES THAT INSPIRE AT EVERY STEP
Dare to take paths that embrace vineyards, pine forests, and natural landscapes that invite you to enjoy the authenticity of these lands step by step.
The rivers of our lands are also pathways. The Segura, Alhárabe, Quípar, and Argos rivers feature some of the most distinctive routes in northwest Murcia, with trails that let you get lost in the most remarkable nature and offer a different landscape at every stage.
