The 8 March Women’s Centre Association in Mula held a commemorative event to mark its 25th anniversary, a day dedicated to recognising its history and the role it has played over the years in the social and community life of the town.
The initiative involved creating a symbolic mural in the shape of a tree, from the roots to the branches, on which each member has left a positive message, reflecting values such as mutual support, unity, hope and a commitment to equality. A collective gesture that highlights the power of working together.
The event was attended by Ana Belén Pérez, Councillor for Equality; Alicia Zapata, Councillor for Trade; and Antonia Gabarrón, Councillor for Social Services, who joined the association in paying tribute.
The Councillor for Equality, Ana Belén Pérez, emphasised that “You are the driving force behind a much-needed change that is taking shape day by day. Through your track record and every initiative you launch, you are taking concrete steps towards a more equal society ”, expressing gratitude for the association’s tireless work and its ability to mobilise, support and raise awareness.
Mula Town Council congratulates the Women’s Centre Association on its 25 years of commitment and recognises its contribution as a leading example of community involvement, social harmony and social progress in the town.
